I found it on eBay, and it was local!
I purchased this car from a local person after finding it on eBay. What are the chances! When I saw the car for the first time that October of 2004, I was concerned about it’s completeness as it was disassembled in 1976 and stored in many, many boxes and crates. After finding most of the major parts – 4 fenders, an engine block and the main sub-components, hood, seats, etc – and seeing a very small rust hole in the rocker panel, I bought it and proceeded to make 3 trips with my wife’s van to bring it all home.

Time to Move On
I’ve come to realize over the years that while I truly enjoy DRIVING my British cars, I enjoy restoring them even more. Something about marveling at the way these cars were designed and put together makes me chuckle and brightens my day. With that, it’s time I let someone else enjoy driving this piece of automotive history and marvel at it’s quirkiness….

I am offering my 1967 Triumph TR4A for sale. Auction prices for this level of quality resortation are hovering around $25,000 to $28,000. I would consider offers over $21,000.

A labor of love
My family thought I was crazy, but stuck by me for 3 years while I proceeded to sandblast, weld, pound, sand and paint in the garage. Then, in August of 2007, I brought the finished car to the Portland (Oregon) All British Field Meet and won 2nd place in my class! My greatest pride comes in saying I did absolutely all the work my self, from rebuilding the entire engine & drive train to all the body work including the final paint, with my 2 sons and wife helping along the way.

More Awards
The next summer, 2008, I brought my 4A to a local British meet (65 or so total cars) and took home First Place in my class! I then returned to the Portland All British Field Meet, and also took First Place in my class. Two Firsts in one summer, not a bad run for the old TR!
I drove the car as much as possible over the summer and fall (the PERFECT time for a British convertible!) and continued to tinker thru the winter.
